  1. The AMC was legit. It was so light you didn't need a lot of power to have fun in it. Which I did at 16 and surprised a lot Camaro and Mustang diehards with a few mods and tweaks.

  2. The Mopar V8 is a 318 not a 316. Shows the maker of this video doesn't know jack shit about cars. I'm 67 I was there when all of these were made. Dude stick to talking about 4 cyl metrics.

  3. Yea roast me all u want but I would’ve owned a gremlin gt if I were around bak then I jus would’ve blamed it on all the psychedelic drugs😧👀🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

  4. HOW the hell can you only get 140 bhp from a 5 litre V8 (mustang 2)? In 74 Europe's Escort RS2000 was 110bhp at 2 litres…And the Pinto engine always was a little agricultural. Shocking engine engineering from Ford US.

  5. I would be glad to own any of these cars . Better wise up and buy these things whether you think they are butt ass ugly or not. They are an investment and they are not making any more of them. And if you don't like what I say go sit your ass in your Kia Sedona.

  6. A SLOW muscle car?…..an oxymoron if ever I heard one…That just ain't the case…some manufacturers made some cars later to POSE as muscle…but wasn't really the case, under the hood…what's in the boiler room defines that term.

  7. video make is obviously biased against anything Chrysler. Also he is referring to cars that chrysler intended to be cruisers, to be race cars, so its not a fair comparison to name vs performance

  8. All ICE cars will be considered slow in a few years, so why not have a kitschy dog of a muscle car? A few years after that all cars will be autonomous.

  9. You show up to a car show with one of those and you will have the only one there. I have no hate for any of them.

  10. I never heard of the 1974 GTO Ventura (The 1st car in the vid) but isn't that just a 1973/74 Chevy Nova with different trim? My dad owned a 1970 Nova and then a 1972 Nova all throughout my childhood, so I can spot those body lines a mile away, the 73/74's looked extremely similar, mostly just changed the back windows past the B pillar.

  11. Even a slant six valiant could be fast with turbocharging. Blow thru carbs were less understood in the 70s, 80s. So these cars are now interesting, with their 8.5:1 cr. Jusr keep boost below 10 because of the cast internals. When off the boost, gas and insurance would be cheap, unlike a traditional muscle car.

  12. Meanwhile, the Little Red Express Truck by Dodge in 1978 pulled a better 1/4 mile than a Corvette. Why? Because trucks were not subject to the emissions systems. Remove the choking emissions, tune up the carb, and add dual exhaust you got another 50 to 70 hp. By the way the Chrysler engine was a 318, not a 316. They manufactured it for 40 years. It was very dependable and if you put some cash in it you could make a head snapper out of it.

  13. I remember my 1979 magnum gt it was loaded with factory options except engine horse power only a 318 lean burn . with in 9 months i collected a rebuilt a 440-4v and a 727 QF trans only had to modify the left side motor mount bracket . i had plenty of HP under the hood . one option that no other magnum had was extended urethane fender flares very rare. Car was white w/thin red pin stripe , great riding for long trips even the 440 was good turning 3.21 gears 9 1/4 posi all 4 disc . i ordered the fender badges "440 MAGNUM " it fit the combination great . At 3600 lbs it was a sleeper i raced a buick grand national which i barely beat. My friends called the magnum the" flying white refrigerator " i ran one night on the Florida turnpike stretch putting the speedo needle straight down on the odometer about 160 MPH , max reading was 140 . i love that car till the rust monster ate it and i scrapped it in 1990 motor and transmission then got install in a 1980 Plymouth trail duster lifted w40 " tires and 1 ton axles . end of my going fast days , beginning of getting muddy days which still do till present day of 56 years of age plus no more speeding tickets since . i now own a 1975 power wagon dually w/ 5.9 Cummins equipped w/40k pto rear winch 200 ft. 1/2 cable, 35" tires. owned since 1989 and gets driven every weekend to my hunting camp / property 89 miles away . i still ponder seeing the 70's – 80's cars and times. It sucks getting old.

  14. All of these cars are slow because they are mid-to-late 70's cars. That said, some of the fastest classic muscle cars were the very early 70's cars.

  15. I feel a bit bad for these owners baby's getting shit on. A couple thousand and smog removal would bring em back to life as any gearhead knows though
